ICQ- Wow! Wow! Wow! The ultimate chatters' tool. Better than mIRC. Better than AOL-IM. So amazing I'm thinking about building an online shrine to it (joke... maybe). If you don't have it yet, you should go get it!
Rooms of Interest (Kab's Prime Chat Spots)
Maquis Universal Chat- Currently my most frequently visited room. Themed around some kind of alternate Star Trek universe (I think), and I really have no idea what goes on in there sometimes, but it's great. The layout is superb with no annoying clutter and the atmosphere is friendly, especially in comparison with some of these other sites.
United Empire of Planets Chat- Another group centered around this ST alternate universe stuff (it doesn't stop here, either). It's been around for a while, too. Decent atmosphere but horrible layout (as provided by Starvoice).
Dragon Fleet Chat- Haven't been here in a while, but guess what- it shares something in common with the previous two sites (I'll let you figure it out).
Phoenix Chat- A nice chat with the same great layout as MU Chat. A much more loose, NON-sim-centered environment.
Some Other Good Places
Yahoo! Chat- Yahoo! strikes again. Has a chat for everyone under the sun.
The Globe- Reminds me of Yahoo in some way. Oh yeah, it has a chat for anyone aged one to one-hundred (let's hope that includes you!).
BeSeen- Has "Get Your Own Chat" written all over it. Free, anyway. Not really that great unless you pay for it.
Starvoice- Has "Get Your Own Chat" written all over it, too. Haven't we been here before? I don't like it as well as BeSeen, and you better cough up some cash to get the good stuff.
